TARAN
Taran Myrick grew up in Washington State and attended Central Washington University earning a B.A. in Social Science. While attending CWU he met his wife Megan, and following graduation and their wedding, Taran joined the United States Army. Taran served as a Military Police Officer attaining the rank of Major. He deployed once to Kosovo and four times to Iraq. While in the service, Taran earned a Master’s degree in Business & Organizational Security Management.
The Army took the Myrick family to several amazing locations including Germany, Kansas, Texas, Missouri, and finally Fort Stewart, Georgia. After retiring from the military, Taran worked contract security for the US Department of State at the Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan for three years. Taran has also worked as a Security Manager for Sunstates Security providing operational management of the campus security at Savannah College of Art & Design, and as an Environmental Health & Safety Manager with Walmart Distribution. Taran has also gained experience in the Hospitality Industry as the Assistant Director of Safety & Security for JW Marriott Savannah, Plant Riverside District.
Taran and Megan have two boys, Max and Carter. Taran is a family man, and loves spending quality time with them. He is also a huge Star Wars fan who has seen the movies hundreds of times! Taran enjoys watching movies, playing video games, working out, walking his 5 dogs, card tricks, and dad jokes. He is excited for Spartan Elite Security Services to become part of your team, and looks forward to providing the best services and communication in the industry.
ROB
Rob Taylor moved from Southern Florida to the Coastal Georgia area in 2021, bringing his wife and two amazing kids and 20 years of exceptional security experience. Beginning his professional career in 2004 in the casino security industry, Rob spent the next 18 years enhancing the casino and resort security, as well as his business and leadership acumen. Rob developed new standard operating procedures, along with creating a more robust training program for Security personnel. Rob moved to the Savannah, GA area and accepted the position of Director of Safety & Security at a busy, luxury resort property on Savannah’s famous River Street.
Rob’s background in the security industry includes training management and leading personnel. He also has extensive experience in protection and safety services, being an expert in identifying potential issues and hazards that could be detrimental to his property. Rob strives to provide excellent services, always in a professional manner, and he strongly believes that continuous client engagement with honesty and care is of utmost importance.
While in Georgia, Rob found a like-minded colleague in Taran who shared the same passion for safety, security, and client engagement. Rob believes that teamwork and collaboration are incredibly valuable in the security industry, and he embraces the “Iron Sharpens Iron” philosophy to continuously improve and excel in his craft. Rob looks forward to meeting clients’ needs and expectations, growing and bettering the team and community with Spartan Elite Security Services.
